Welcome to the Zeta Rho chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at University of California San Diego!
Throughout the past 25 years, Zeta Rho has strived to uphold the values set by our founders and to sustain the powerful legacy they’ve left behind. While aspiring to achieve excellence in areas of scholarship, leadership, and service to others, we, at Zeta Rho, feel that our solidarity has provided an encouraging space for personal growth and friendships. Each individual makes a unique contribution to Zeta Rho and comprises the dynamic sisterhood that we have today. This diversity shapes us as a chapter and helps us become the individuals we aspire to be.
As members of Theta at UCSD, we have so much to be proud of. In this past year, Zeta Rho held the highest GPA during winter and spring quarters of 2018, and received the Scholarship Award at the 2018 Greek Awards. Our chapter also received The Organizational Leadership Award which is awarded to the chapter with the highest presence at Greek-life events while actively maintaining a positive track record with the Triton Activity Planner (TAP) forms. Furthermore, Zeta Rho women have shown tremendous leadership potential through involvement in a wide-variety of student organizations on campus. From holding executive board positions on Swipes for the Homeless to serving as Resident Advisors in UCSD’s six colleges, the women of Zeta Rho have gracefully exemplified the foundations of this organization.
But at the core of our organization are the lifelong friendships that begin the moment we meet our new sisters. In essence, we pride ourselves on the ability to love and support each other unconditionally—bonding through study sessions, Taco Tuesdays, Inter-Sorority Sports, sisterhood events, philanthropy events, and much more. As any of our alumni will tell you, these experiences build the friendships that last a lifetime, and these friends motivate and inspire us to become the women we will one day be.
